Larger flat panels and projects that need more room than a 130 × 180 mm field.
The limit to know
LE is a distinct edition. Do not substitute the discontinued original 500E or assume a generic 500E listing includes LE extras.
Field fit only establishes room for the stitches. Check the chosen hoop, the machine’s file preview and the actual fabric access before starting. We do not promise that assembled caps or sleeves will fit.
Hoops listed by the manufacturer
- RE28b: 200 × 280 mm
- SQ20b: 200 × 200 mm
- RE20b: 140 × 200 mm
- SQ14b: 140 × 140 mm
These are standard manufacturer contents, separate from any retailer-added bundle. A hoop with similar dimensions or a similar model name is not automatically compatible.
Getting designs onto the machine
USB design transfer. Janome’s LE brochure lists JEF format and PC-compatible AcuStitch software.
Plan the rest of your start-up kit
Check the manual for the exact bobbin, needle and thread requirements. Add appropriate stabilizer and sample fabric for a trial stitch-out. Keep a separate sewing machine if this model is embroidery-only and you need to construct the project.
