Separate three jobs
Artwork creation, embroidery digitizing and machine transfer are separate steps. Digitizing defines stitch types, sequencing and other embroidery instructions. Transfer moves a supported stitch file to the machine. A wireless connection cannot turn every PNG, photograph or SVG into an appropriate stitch file. If you buy ready-made embroidery designs, check the supplied formats and final dimensions before purchasing the design.
Brother’s wireless route
The PE900, SE2000 and SE700 manufacturer pages describe Design Database Transfer and Artspira workflows. Design Database Transfer has computer and network requirements; do not infer that a Windows utility runs on a Mac. Artspira has its own device, feature and account requirements. Confirm those against current Brother support information and the type of files you intend to use. If a particular app feature is essential, verify it before selecting the machine.
Janome’s USB route
The 500E LE, 550E and 100E records in this guide use USB transfer. Use the exact model manual to confirm drive preparation, folder location and supported embroidery formats. A drive that physically fits the port is only the first step. Keep a known-good test design and a copy of your original files. We do not infer wireless transfer from a retailer’s generic feature list or from another machine in the same brand family.
Test the whole path
Before committing to a large design library, try a simple file that is comfortably inside the documented field. Confirm it exports in a supported format, appears in the machine’s file browser and opens with the expected dimensions and orientation. Check the selected hoop in the preview. If the file does not appear, investigate the format, path and model limits before changing the design itself. A passing transfer test is not a stitch-quality test; use a fabric sample for that.
